Via Sacra - from Herrnhut to Löbau
In Herrnhut, it is clearly visible that it is not a naturally grown place, but everything was planned and laid out at the same time, mostly buildings from the 18th century in Baroque style. It is very worthwhile to get the key to the Altan, a wooden tower above the cemetery, from the hotel reception or tourist info. The small tower, which offers a great panoramic view, is reached via the cemetery. From the cemetery, the path goes to Berthelsdorf and from there further to Herwigsdorf. A very worthwhile detour is to the basalt rock Hirschberg, a pretty place and a beautiful view. The ascent and descent and the view from the Löbau tower are wonderful. In Löbau, the circle of the Via Sacra closes at the market.

Slightly hilly stage with steeper climb and descent at Löbauer Berg. Beautiful path up to Berthelsdorf, from the Herrnhut cemetery through fields of Berthelsdorf asphalt, mostly wide comfortable forest paths after entering the forest
